Prudential customers left waiting for pension payments after IT glitch told they will get their money
Peter Burgess, 65, had been unable to access his pension pot but the Pru promised to transfer the funds after we intervened
Prudential has reassured customers waiting for pension payments that they will get their money after an IT glitch caused a backlog.
Money Mail reported last week how customers had cancelled holidays and had to look for work because of delays at the insurance giant.
More readers have since been in touch to say they are worried about their pension savings.
We reported last week how Peter Burgess, 65, had been unable to access his pension pot, while Pat Savage, 73, had been waiting for a compensation payment for nearly three months.
The Pru promptly paid Pat after Money Mail intervened, and will soon transfer Peter’s pot.
A Prudential spokesman says: ‘Our primary focus is to address delays swiftly. Nobody’s benefits or payments will be compromised.’
